Now that isn't it, along with the semi-permanent eyelashes, I have also been enjoying getting a gel manicure every two weeks. I have discovered that once you put a little extra money into something that will last much longer it is so worth it. Now I have gotten gel manicures before, so that's not really what I am here to talk about. I'm here to discuss the eyelash extensions, and how they have made life not only way easier, but more fun too.
It started about a month ago when I saw them on Instagram and I got online and did a little bit of research. I found a place that seemed very trustworthy and had plenty of great reviews. I even recognized an acquaintance as one of their clients in the look book. I waited a week and got opinions from several friends. It was difficult because they gave me mixed reviews. Eventually I made the appointment online. Very user friendly. Going into the appointment it was a very very relaxed atmosphere. Very zen and spa-like. It took around 2 hours to complete the full set of lashes. They use silk lashes that they adhere to your natural lashes and the results are off the hook!
After that appointment I knew that I would be coming back. Now I must admit that I had asked for a more natural look, mainly because I did not know quite what was in store. I just had my second appointment (a 60 minute touch-up) and I got a more dramatic look. With the more dramatic look, you get more curve and they seem much longer and fuller. I am no longer tempted to swipe a little bit of mascara.
The lashes have made getting ready a breeze. I feel comfortable going around without makeup, and taking care of them is not difficult. They are weightless and you don't notice them at all. I think it is well worth the investment and am about to send friends for the experience too!
(I got my lashes for a steal, i used the intern for the full set. Which normally runs for around $190, but I got it for $50. I was very lucky, because now my touch-ups with the more experienced people are at the least $60. The touch-ups range with how long it takes. So it is definitely more of an investment if you don't find yourself in the lucky situation I was in.)
Good Luck!
