I am a bit of a gym rat, and I will definitely be posting some videos of my workouts soon. It is also well known that a great body does not just come from physical activity, but from what is put into it. I like to approach my diet at an 80/20 view... Meaning that 80% if the time I eat completely clean, zero additives, organic. The other 20% of the time, I eat whatever the heck I want to.
For some this might not be a good approach, because it can be hard to restrain yourself. However, I have found that if I am craving something, it is helpful to either find an alternative, have a little bit, or think about how bad I want it and see if I am willing to spend money or time. I have come to think of my dietary choices as a mind game.
So if interested in some of the things that I use, keep reading.
I currently am 5'8", 140 pounds. I aim to be about 135, so not too far to go. I can bounce anywhere from 140 to 150 in a few weeks time. I am very sensitive to any change in lifestyle. Which can be both good and bad. If I am consistent in working out and eating good, I can see change very quickly. If I am lazy and have a few too many cheat days, I can also tell.
To keep track of both my exercise, eating habits, sleep, and activity levels; I use the MyFitness Pal app for iPhone and Record.
They are both by Under Armour and sync with one another. They are super! I tried to get my boyfriend to use it, but he is not patient when entering his food. I think it is great, it tells you what nutrients to get and how many calories you should consume based on your goals.
